With more people in the UK struggling with mental illnesses then ever, it's so important that you're supporting your employees and colleagues in any way that you can. It's key that all of the Fun Experts feel their best so that we are able to supply you with the most positive event planning experience and so wanted to share with you some of the ways that we've found can help others to feel comfortable and happy in the work place.

It might shock you that 17.5 million sick days were taken in the UK last year due to mental health problems. Being able to explain to your manager that you need a day to yourself to reset so that you can come back into work feeling more productive is something everyone should be made to feel comfortable doing; and having an understanding and supportive employer can make all the difference for someone struggling to make it into work due to mental illness. Easier ways of managing this could be giving your employees wellness days, like annual leave, that they are able to take as and when they please, or if an employee was to confide in you about something they are going through, making it clear that you'll support them should they need to take an hour out of work here and there to get professional help.

How can The Fun Experts help?

For many people, working a 9-5 desk job can have a huge impact on your mood but there are methods that can be put into place to break up your day and make everything seem much more manageable. From something as simple as heading out on a daily walk with a colleague to refresh your brain (more details in our Stress Awareness Week Blog), to hiring out a few pieces of Fun Expert entertainment that you and your colleagues can have some fun going head to head on like our Basketball Challenge, Bounce a Ball or Gold Cup Horse Racing. Our range of Office Entertainment provides the perfect opportunity for staff to let off some steam, unwind and relax before heading back to your desks.
