We understand that planning your event is going to lead to you having many questions to ask. The Fun Experts are now celebrating over nineteen year and in that time we have come to gain great experience and knowledge in the event industry and so we are in a position where we can help you and answer all of your questions. Whether it's simply a question about booking our equipment or you're in need of advice about your event then The Fun Experts will have the answer.

We have put together below some frequently asked questions that can help answer some of the queries you may have regarding many parts of the process in planning your event. Should you require further information or if you simply fancy a chat with the Fun Experts about your event then please do not hesitate to call us.

Q: What kind of events do you do?
A:

The Fun Experts has a wide variety of equipment and entertainment that can cater for many events including corporate events, weddings, birthday parties, team building events, functions and so many more. Our experience and knowledge means that we are more than comfortable when it comes to planning large scale events such as family fun days and we have had much fun in the past when providing our services for events that have seen from 30 to 3,000 guests attending.

Q: What levels of service do you provide?
A:

We offer our customers many levels of service which allow for you to come and collect equipment directly from us, such as a candy floss machine or giant games, all the way to our full event management service. This could include planning meetings, arranging site visits that would result in us creating site plans for the event, power and utility requirements, running the event on the day, staffing and so much more. One thing remains constant throughout the service we provide and that is you will always receive the best service possible in which we will share our experience, knowledge and passion with you.

Q: What is the booking process?
A:

Once you have come to a decision as to what equipment or package you would like to book for your event we will need to speak with you and confirm all the final details such as event location and area measurements, event times and also payment options. Once we have gathered all the necessary information, the booking will be added to our system and you will be sent an invoice and a copy of our terms and conditions. The invoice will confirm all of the final details that had been discussed and a signed copy of the terms and conditions should be returned to us.

Q: I've found a cheaper quote, will you price match?
A:

We do not shy away from the fact that we are not the cheapest event company that you may come across. This is a result of the high standard of service that we provide, which not every company offers. We always strive to offer the best deal possible for your event, however it is not always possible to price match as the quality service we offer is not always reflected in other companies, and so it would not be a 'like for like' offer. Sunshine Events offer the best possible customer service from the first contact right through to the day of the event. We pride ourselves on the presentation of our equipment and staff, which is always to the highest standard. Every piece of equipment is regularly tested and maintained and we have all the necessary Health & Safety, Risk Assessments and Insurance in place.

Q: What are the payment options?
A:

We ask that the full balance be paid at the time of booking. If you wish to make an alternative payment arrangement then please feel free to discuss this when you speak to The Fun Experts at the time of booking. Payments can be made by BACS, debit / credit card or by cheque (made payable to Sunshine Events UK).

Q: Do you own all of the equipment and props as seen on your site?
A:

Every photograph used on our site has been taken at one of our many family fun days, birthday parties, weddings or corporate events. We are proud to say that we do own all of the equipment that you see here on our website, all of which is housed in our Fun Factory. There are only a small number of exceptions, however over the years we have built a relationship with companies that are trustworthy and share our passion for the event industry. We will never offer your event to a third party however should we be bringing someone in to work alongside us we will always let you know. We can guarantee that you will receive the exact same piece of equipment you see in the photographs on display here, and each piece of equipment will be in the same high standard of safety and cleanliness.

Q: Can we meet you?
A:

Many events can be organised via telephone and e-mail, however some larger events such as family fun days may benefit from a meeting in which you can come and meet us at our offices in Preston, Lancashire or we can come and visit you on site.

Q: Can we see the equipment in action?
A:

Both our head office and North Depot in Preston and our South Depot in Milton Keynes hold a show room where we are able to present some of our smaller items such as the interactive equipment, fun food carts and theming. Of course, many pieces of our equipment such as the inflatables and rodeos do require a bit more room. Much of the fun does come across in the photos you can see here on the site as the pictures speak a thousand words, however there are a number of videos which can be found on our YouTube channel that show some of the thrills and excitement people have had with the Fun Experts.

Q: Is the equipment safe?
A:

All of our equipment is tested annually and each piece, whether it be an inflatable or an electrical piece of equipment has either an RPII or PIPA test certificate and PAT test certificate. Safety is of the upmost importance for the Fun Experts and we go to every possible measure to ensure that our products are safe, clean and fun. Each member of staff has received full training from the Sunshine Events management for every piece of equipment we house. We have £10 million public liability insurance from a specialist insurance provider and copies of this are available on request. Q: How do I know if the equipment will fit?
A:

Each piece of equipment listed on this site has all the relevant information regarding sizes and area that are needed for it to fit safely. If you do have any concerns about the size of area you are considering placing the equipment then please do not hesitate to ask to speak to our Logistics team. Various pieces of equipment and entertainment can be tailored to fit a specific area or arranged in a different manor to allow for it to fit. There is always a solution and The Fun Experts will find it.

Q: Will you keep in touch up until the event?
A:

In most cases, after you have booked the equipment for your event and everything has been confirmed a member of our Logistics team will contact you the week prior to your event to have a final run through of the event details and ensure that there have been no changes. After this you'll meet the Fun Experts on the day of your event where we'll share in what will be a fantastic event. If you are holding a large scale event such as a family fun day then there would be reason for us to be in contact more often as we arrange site visits, contact you regarding site plans and discussions regarding various details of the event. The Fun Experts offer you a high quality service and are always available to talk about your event so should you ever feel you need to speak to us then please do not hesitate to call us or drop us an e-mail

Q: When will you arrive at the event?
A:

Each piece of equipment is different in its set up and can take different lengths of time to set up. The Fun Experts always arrive with plenty of time to set up the equipment, ensuring that equipment is ready at least a half hour before the start of the event. Our Logistics team will confirm arrival times with you in the phone call the week prior to the event. We make every effort to ensure we arrive in good time, taking into account the possibility of traffic and weather conditions on the road so we still arrive at the time we agreed.

Q: I've just checked the weather forecast and it doesn't look good, can we still use the equipment?
A:

The Fun Experts love to play in the sunshine but sometimes the rain clouds like to gather overhead. It is as important to us as it is to you that your event is a success. Some pieces of our equipment can be covered using our selection of shower canopies, ensuring the fun can continue. Wherever possible we may look to see if the equipment can be moved to an indoor area if part of your event is taking place outside. If any equipment does end up wet from rain then once the clouds pass, The Fun Experts will immediately get stuck in drying the equipment so that the fun can continue moments later.

Q: Have I left it too late to book?
A:

It's never too late for the Fun Experts to visit your event. Our huge selection of equipment and entertainment allows us to almost always cater for any event, even if you're only getting in touch the day before.

Q: Can I have the equipment for longer than originally quoted for?
A:

Should you decide that you would like to hire the equipment for a longer period of time than originally agreed, then this is almost always possible to arrange. Of course there would be a cost implication to this though, which can be discussed when you contact us.

Q: Can I change the equipment I have booked?
A:

This can be a possibility providing you contact us within reasonable time before your event, so be sure to contact The Fun Experts as soon as possible. We aim to provide you the best service and where possible we would be able to change your choice of equipment and entertainment, however depending on the equipment you wish to upgrade to, there could be a cost implication.

Q: What if I wish to cancel my booking?
A:

Should the unfortunate arise and you wish to cancel your booking then you will need to contact us immediately by phone. There would be a cancellation charge should you wish to go ahead with the cancellation of your booking, a full list of the charges can be found on our Terms & Conditions. Should you still wish to cancel your event after speaking to us then we would also require the request in writing.
