The Fun Experts' Day At Deepdale Stadium - Did We Win The Corporate Cup?

A group of ten enthusiastic Fun Experts participated in the Corporate Cup for Preston North End Community and Education. Dressed in our vibrant pink shirts, we laced our boots, secured our shin pads, and geared up for the tournament. Did we come out on top?

How did The Fun Experts get on in the tournament?

Although The Fun Experts didn't take home the win, they certainly added a splash of excitement with their vibrant, quirky bright pink shirts. It was a challenging day, marked by three injuries among our wonderful Fun Experts team and a total of 92 minutes played on the beautiful PNE pitch. It's safe to say they woke up feeling quite sore the next morning.

With 13 teams participating, the tournament featured a group stage followed by knockout rounds. The 7-a-side team fought valiantly and even celebrated an exhilarating 2-1 victory in one of their matches. In the end, we may not have reached our goal, but we left Deepdale with our heads held high and our spirits still soaring.

What was the event for?

It was a great cause as all money made from the day will support PNECET’s life-enhancing work in the community. The event helped make a positive impact locally.

Throughout the day, there was a palpable tension as Preston fans eagerly awaited the crucial results from Bristol and other Championship matches. When it was confirmed that Preston would remain in the Championship for the 2025/26 season, joy spread across many PNE supporter faces.

Overall, The Fun Experts football team truly made us proud with their dedication and spirit displayed all day. It was an enjoyable afternoon, and it supported a wonderful cause. Right, we had better start preparing for next year!
