So, you booked your equipment with The Fun Experts and it's the final week before your event. However, there are now freak showers overhead and they are forecast for the weekend of your event.
It can be quite disheartening with event planning to know everything is working in your favour until the weather throws a spanner in the works. At Sunshine Events, we are always ready for eventualities with regards to the weather. That is why we say “hope for the best, prepare for the worst.”
When rain is threatening your outdoor event, the easiest option may seem to just cancel the occasion altogether, however, one of our main priorities is to make sure that your event still goes ahead as planned.
During an event, the health and safety of our clients and your guests is absolutely paramount for us. A lot of our fun equipment can still be operated outside during light rain showers, however, some of our inflatables must be shut down until the weather clears.
Our party hire and inflatable assault course equipment, such as our slides, bouncy castles, inflatable climbing wall, and Hungry Hippos are unable to be operated during poor weather conditions. The reasoning for this is that guests actively engage/bounce on this equipment and if it’s subject to rain this increases the risk of slipping and potential injury.
However, if it appears to only be a light shower that will pass momentarily, as soon as the rain stops, the Fun Experts will immediately begin drying the equipment and making sure that the fun can resume as quickly as possible.
Our other inflatables such as the Nerf Target, Whack-a-Wall, and Basketball Shoot don’t require individuals to physically be on the equipment and are, therefore, suitable to remain open for your guests to enjoy.
The sun is shining, your guests are having an amazing time, and the heat is just adding to a magnificent atmosphere. But a strong and unforeseen wind has moved in and threatens to put a sudden stop to the fun and activities of your outdoor event.
With freak bouts of wind and high gails, we temporarily close down equipment if wind speeds are in excess of 19mph. As soon as gusts have subsided and calmed, the Fun Experts will have your equipment up and running in a matter of minutes.
At Sunshine Events, a vast majority of our equipment can be used indoors if there is appropriate space. This means that you can have all the fun and excitement of an outdoor event and inflatables all under one roof.
Holding an event indoors means that our more high-tech equipment like the VR Experience, Atari Pong, and Nintendo Switch can be played by your guests without you ever having to fear about rain stopping the event.
