The Fun Experts visit IAAPA at London Excel

A few years back, The Fun Experts hopped over the 'pond' to visit the IAAPA Expo in America - a fantastic opportunity where we found some amazing pieces of Fun Event Entertainment which we brought back for you to enjoy at your events.

For the uninitiated, the IAAPA Expo is the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions. Each year it holds Expos in America, Europe and Asia. For 2026, the Europe Expo came to the UK in September at the London Excel.

Directors of Fun Sunny and James, joined by Sales Director Camille and Operations & People Director Ryan, headed to the big city to see what new equipment we could add to our portfolio of Fun for your events.

Featuring over 800 exhibitors, the show was on for a number of days at the end of September, taking up over half of the exhibition space available at the Excel. If you've ever been, you'll know that's a huge amount of space. Alongside the exhibitors, industry experts take to the different stages available to discuss anything from innovation to leadership; a prime opportunity to hear from those succeeding in the business and learn about changes coming to the industry and how everyone is adapting to an ever changing world.   

So after a combined step count of over 50,000 steps, what did we find...

From innovative tech equipment, seeing exciting new variations of racing seats and simulators, to the latest Photo Booth technology; a wide variety of new inflatables to inspire fun for your upcoming Fun Days - the floor was literally filled with fun!

We're not going to lie, there were moments we thought should we open a theme park or a water park - there were some big, BIG installations to cater for such fun environments, but Sunny, James, Camille & Ryan were there with a clear focus. Fun that could be delivered to you and your events, across the country. 

Immediately there were a couple of new purchases, with brand new Curling Inflatables ordered to update our current version; then there was the brand new Shuffleboard Inflatables and Selfie Pods.

The inspiration on offer was unbelievable, so much so that there is more to come as we finish digesting everything that was on offer to see. 

It wasn't just the Expo though that was a highlight - it was an opportunity to discuss where the business is after a very busy Summer season, and what comes next. Not just the festive season, but in the months and years ahead. Discussing processes, positions, plans and more - it was an ideal opportunity to engage with one another without the day to day distractions.

Across two days, we felt like we had travelled the whole planet - exhibitors from all over the world; Europe, America, China. An amazing experience, and one that has lit a fire with new ideas and offerings that we can't wait to share with you for your next event.
