As the summer holidays began to wind down, The Fun Experts were thrilled to be part of a vibrant community event hosted by KeolisAmey Docklands at Greenwich DLR Station.
With Cutty Sark DLR Station temporarily closed for essential upgrades, including the installation of new escalators scheduled to be completed by spring 2026, visitors to the area were being redirected through Greenwich DLR Station. This created the perfect opportunity for a warm and welcoming experience for travellers exploring the historic heart of London.
What did they hire?
To help bring some extra joy to the day, KeolisAmey enlisted The Fun Experts to provide a branded Ice Cream Bike, offering free sweet treats to visitors and commuters. It was a hit with everyone, from families visiting Maritime Greenwich to regular DLR travellers enjoying a little surprise on their way through.
A Fun-Filled Day of Community Spirit
The event was all about making people feel welcomed and appreciated. Supported by the volunteer greeters from the Royal Borough of Greenwich, and coordinated by Volunteer Centre Greenwich, the day aimed to ensure that visitors had everything they needed to find their way to the attractions and businesses in and around Greenwich Town Centre and along the Thames.
KeolisAmey Docklands also set up a lively tombola stall filled with DLR-branded giveaways, including sunglasses, stress balls, caps, and even lunch boxes. It was a fantastic way to thank loyal customers and bring a smile to people of all ages.
From the moment the ice cream bike arrived, it brought a festive atmosphere to the station. The custom branding made it a perfect match for the event and helped create an inviting space for people to pause, enjoy a treat, and have a chat.
