A 2,000-Mile Journey to Deliver Event Entertainment in Milan

All across the UK, The Fun Experts deliver high quality event entertainment and event equipment hire to fun loving clients looking to bring laughter, excitement, and memorable moments to their events. But recently, that mission took us far beyond our usual routes.

What began as a simple enquiry became one of our most ambitious adventures yet - a round trip of nearly 2,000 miles to bring a touch of Fun to Milan, Italy.

The Client: KIKO MILANO. The Brief: A Western Themed Brand Activation.

KIKO MILANO, the globally recognised cosmetics brand, was preparing to launch a new product and wanted to elevate their brand activation with a bold Western theme - in keeping with the theme around the product launch. At the heart of the experience? A genuine Rodeo Bull and a professional events team capable of delivering seamless, safe and standout entertainment.

Their search for the perfect partner led them straight to us.

Planning an International Promotional Event: Precision Meets Creativity

Unlike our regular trips to Manchester, London, Edinburgh, or Bristol to name a few, this European project required even deeper coordination and planning. Delivering event equipment hire at an international level meant calling in expertise from every corner of the company.

Sales & Development Director Camille led the client through the unique requirements of the Rodeo Bull and the wider event setup, ensuring every detail aligned with the vision of the client and their launch. From there, our Logistics team took over - mapping travel, Insurance, securing AT Carnets, coordinating border crossings, and preparing detailed setup plans to ensure flawless delivery.

The atmosphere in the office was electric. This wasn’t just another job. It was a milestone in our journey as leading providers of event entertainment.

The Journey: From the UK to Milan

With the van loaded and paperwork meticulously prepared, chosen to represent the company and deliver this event in person was Evan - one our leading event team members, Evan was charged with delivering the Rodeo Bull and our signature Fun Experts service straight to the heart of Milan.

Because when clients need standout experiences for their promotional events, whether they're just down the road or 2,000 miles away, we make it happen.

Leaving our North West depot in Preston, Evan had a train to catch - nearly 6 hours away. Travelling along the motorway in our branded low loader, we were heading for Le Shuttle and travelling from Folkestone to Calais.

Seeing the hundreds of miles of M6, M25 and more on a near daily basis, we were getting ready to see some new sites. Le Shuttle departed with Fun Experts aboard and we landed in Calais - now known as Les experts du plaisir.

After a long day of travel, Evan bedded in for the night staying at a hotel in Troyes. The next day, a near 10 hour journey that took in some amazing sites as we travelled through the remainder of France, passing through the likes of Troy, before we entered Italy, where Evan became the first Esperto di divertimento.

It was time to get a good nights rest, because the following day would see us setting up a unique experience for Italian Influencers and the public.

The Set Up

The pre-planning and communication between the client and The Fun Experts, meant everything was to run smoothly. Access was confirmed with no concerns, equipment set so it could hook in to power; so when the heavens decided to open and see torrential rain, this didn't have any negative impact for the team. Evan was grateful to the crew on site who were able to offer an extra pair of hands and some cover from the rain.

What wasn't planned for was the protest that was going to be taking place later that day as 24 hour strikes hit public transport. Nothing that would have a negative impact Kiko Milano's plans and the event itself.

The set up was complete in a day, our Rodeo Bull set amongst a western vibe ready for the next few days.

The Promotional Event

First up their was the VIP event; Italian influencers were descending on the event with well known Italian names to showcase and promote the launch of Kiko Milano's product. 

Posing for the camera alongside the bull, guests couldn't resist the urge to take a ride too - something we didn't think we'd actually see at the VIP event, but they were game and a fantastic night was had.

The next couple of days, the 'event' was open to the public. Encouraged to come in and try the new products, the promotional team were on hand to add the glamour; guests could try the products and of course take a ride on the Rodeo Bull!
