The end of August marks summer coming to a close and with that means we'll be saying by to Fun Days and Inflatables and in this blog post, recapping on some of our highlights from an amazing summer season...
Our summer got off to an amazing start thanks to a few weeks of solid sunshine which June's events look even better! At the beginning of the month, universities broke up for the summer, which meant we were very busy attending and entertaining at student celebrations up and down the country for the likes of Leeds Trinity, Liverpool University and the University of Birmingham.
Some of our most highly anticipated events this year took place in June, with the team working hard to create bespoke pieces of kit for both TE Connectivity's 'Around The World' themed Fun Day and Infineum's Trev Fest, a retirement party for their CEO, both of which you can read the full event planning process in our Case Studies.
As temperatures soared around the UK so did Fun Day bookings here at The Fun Experts, as companies all over the UK decided to make the most of the summer weather...
July saw the beginning of our UK summer tour, delivering bespoke fun including a visit from Sonic the Hedgehog himself, for a well known client at their offices around the country. And then the rain came in... and pretty much never left, but we didn't let it dampen our spirits, as some of the biggest Fun Days of the year took place over July for clients such as Drax, Astra Zeneca and Ikea. These companies enjoyed full scale Fun Day events which saw Inflatables, Side Stalls, Giant Games and Fun Foods being enjoyed by guests of all ages.
July is the month of graduations and several universities invited us back for a second time this summer to add a special something to their graduate's send offs, with Popcorn proving very popular at these events. School was out for the summer come mid July and with that comes a whole host of summer fairs in need of some fun equipment to keep students and staff entertained and reward them for a great year.
August has ended up being a month full of Team Building, with plenty of Tug of War photos being sent in by our teams out on your events and businesses like EPS Pipelines and Lancaster University's overseas students competing at Sports Day Activities and Inflatable Challenges that brought their teams together and motivated them before the change in season.
Other notable August events have included a wet and rainy few events for Lancashire County Cricket Club, which have been plenty of fun nonetheless and a whirlwind 24 hours organising some Giant Games for The Lowry Museum's Julia Donaldson exhibition. Tonight we're ending this fab month with a bang and heading down to the Abba Voyage in London to celebrate with their staff!
Our annual Fun Expert Family Fun Day was held the other week and was the perfect way for us to get together thank the team for a fantastic summer season, read all about what went down and get inspiration for your own Fun Day in our recent Blog Post.
Summer might be over but we can still keep our fingers crossed for some September sunshine and make the most of Inflatables and outdoor events while we can! If you've got a case of the summer holiday blues, there's no need because we've still got all of the freshers week and Festive Fun to come that you can keep up with via our LinkedIn and Instagram pages!
