January saw The Fun Experts team come together for our annual New Year Kick Off Meeting, with colleagues from Sales, Logistics, Accounts and Management all heading to The Flower Bowl in Garstang. While it was a chance to celebrate everything we achieved in 2025, the real focus of the day was looking ahead and setting ourselves up for an even stronger 2026.
Taking time away from the day-to-day allowed us to reflect on the past year and our event delivery across a wide range of experiences. From Family Fun Days and Team Building events to Exhibitions, University Events, Guest Experiences, Corporate Activations and large-scale live events, 2025 was a year packed with variety, creativity and unforgettable moments. We celebrated our successes, reviewed how we continue to deliver exceptional events to our customers and shared lessons learned to help us keep raising the bar.
As we move into 2026, our teams have never been in a better position in terms of communication, collaboration and expertise. This strong infrastructure allows us to consistently deliver high-quality event solutions, whether we’re supporting a community focused Family Fun Day, a fast paced Exhibition, a student led University Event or a tailored Team Building experience.
The day began in style in our own private cinema. Before the big show, Logistics Coordinator David Scott (aka Scottie) took centre stage to make sure everyone's blood was flowing with his energising warm up session! So popular, it's become a daily routine in the office, even kicking off our Monday morning meets - we highly recommend!
Director of Fun, Sunny Sandwell, then kicked things off with a warm welcome and an overview of what to expect from the day, before introducing a mini movie (we were in the perfect setting so why not!) celebrating the highlights of the last 12 months of event delivery. She was soon joined by fellow Director of Fun James Sandwell, Sales Director Camille Bradshaw and Operations & People Director Ryan Lee, who shared insights into performance, people and plans for the year ahead. With popcorn on the menu (of course), it was the perfect setting to reflect on the impact of our work across so many different event types.
Following the presentation, the team enjoyed lunch - and while we won’t rub it in too much, the food certainly lived up to the venue’s reputation.
In the afternoon, everyone reconvened in a meeting room to focus on 2026. Discussions centred around upcoming opportunities, potential challenges and targets and how we can continue to work together to deliver seamless event delivery across everything from corporate Team Building and University Events to Family Fun Days, Exhibitions and beyond.
A mid afternoon shuffleboard competition brought a burst of friendly competition before we wrapped up the day, aligned, motivated and ready to continue delivering fun, high-quality events for our customers.
One thing we are proud of here at The Fun Experts and something that really lends itself to the word Expert is the time our team have been with us. With many approaching 10 years, with some even hitting that mile stone in 2025, Sales Executive Dom Sudlow hit the massively impressive 15 years!
From starting his days as part of the Event Team, Dom has taken that experience and knowledge to become one of our most knowledgeable Fun Experts, sharing this experience and expertise with customers as part of his role. Massive congratulations Dom - what an achievement!
Our New Year Kick Off Meeting was a powerful reminder of what makes The Fun Experts stand out - a passionate team, a collaborative approach, and a shared commitment to delivering outstanding events of every size and style. Here’s to a successful, exciting and fun-filled 2026.
