BIBAs 2018

Following 2017's amazing night at the BIBAs (Be Inspired Business Awards) and taking home awards for Employer of the Year and Excellence in CSR, the Fun Experts® are in the running again for 2018's BIBAs. We've made it to the final shortlist for Service Business of the Year, Leisure & Tourism Business of the Year and Creative Agency of the Year awards.

Not only that, Sunshine Events is in the running for Employer of the Year again! Director of Fun James Sandwell has also been shortlisted in the Business Person of the Year category. 

“I’m over the moon that Sunshine Events has been shortlisted for not one but five awards,” said James.

“To be nominated in the BIBAs is a testament to the hard work that the team puts in day in day out. Whilst I’ve received personal recognition in the Business Person of the Year category, I really couldn’t do it without everybody connected to the business and of course our team of fun Experts® at head office, so I wanted to say a personal thank you to them in getting me to the finals.

“It was a proud moment last year when we won the Employer of the Year category and this year we certainly hope to retain that award but also go on to win the other categories as well.  It was a rigorous process for everyone in getting to this stage and I know we are facing tough competition from esteemed businesses in the final, but to bring home another trophy would cap off a remarkable 12 months for the business.”

Founded 15 years ago, Sunshine Events is the largest fun equipment hire and event organising company in the UK. 

Working nationally, Sunshine Events employs over 60 people and boasts a wealth of experience having worked with businesses such as fashion outlet ASOS, Liverpool Football Club, Google, Facebook and supermarket Booths.

We're hoping for further success at the BIBAs. The awards are Lancashire’s largest and longest running business awards programme, organised by the North and Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce.
